About Michael

Michael is an experienced and passionate educational leader, education consultant and a teacher of physics, science, mathematics and multimedia. He has over 15 years’ experience working in and with schools. Prior to stepping away from the classroom, Michael has held a range of teaching and leadership roles in schools, most recently as Assistant Principal at Wodonga Senior Secondary College.

Michael has worked as a Specialist Teacher for the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) and as a Content Specialist at Evidence for Learning (E4L). He has sat on VCE Study Design Review Panels, and was part of the Reference Panel for the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 for Science.

An accomplished facilitator and advisor, Michael works with schools, government, not-for-profits and corporate partners with a focus on work that has potential to improve the lives and opportunities of children and young people. He specialises in providing comprehensive implementation support, facilitating professional learning and offering tailored in-school support. Michael regularly engages with systems, networks, school leaders and teachers across sectors and jurisdictions in Australia.

Michael is a passionate advocate for those experiencing socio-economic disadvantage and for students in rural, regional and remote settings.

Prior to working in schools, Michael worked in the aerospace, automotive and software industries in Germany, the USA and Australia. He also does freelance work as a multimedia creator at Blue Moon Studio.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Business from RMIT University, and a Graduate Diploma of Education from Monash University.
